Moissanite Guide

Exceptional brilliance, made for modern jewelry.

Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone admired for its intense sparkle, durability and responsible origin. Its optical properties create bright flashes of white and spectral light, giving it a distinctive brilliance.

What Is Moissanite?

Moissanite is silicon carbide. Gem-quality moissanite is grown in controlled laboratory conditions, then precisely cut and polished for maximum light performance.

Brilliance and Fire

Moissanite has a high refractive index and strong dispersion. This means it returns light beautifully and may show more colorful fire than a diamond—one of the qualities many clients love most.

Durability

With a hardness of approximately 9.25 on the Mohs scale, moissanite is highly resistant to scratching and suitable for engagement rings and everyday jewelry. Like all fine jewelry, it should still be protected from sharp impact.

Moissanite vs. Diamond

Moissanite and diamond are different gemstones with different optical identities. Moissanite offers exceptional brilliance and visual presence at an accessible price, while diamond has its own structure, grading tradition and appearance.

Care

Clean your jewelry with warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a lint-free cloth. Check prongs periodically and store pieces separately to protect their finish.
